Method Tasty Italian pasta food

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a pot of boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small amount of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  3. Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes and stir in the dried oregano and basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the tomato sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
  6. Serve the spaghetti pomodoro hot, garnished with torn fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your simple and delicious Italian pasta dish.
