Dough
- (Wheat flour) Gehun ka Aata 2(cups)
- ½ tsp
- Water is required
- 1 tbsp oil
Aloo mixture
- (Boiled & mashed) potatoes 4-5 medium size
- 1 tsp (cumin) jeera powder
- 1 tsp (red chilli powder) Laal mirch powder
- 2 tbsp (crushed coriander seeds) kuta hua sukha dhanya
- 1 tbsp (raw mango powder) Aamchur powder
- 1 tbsp (chopped) fresh mint
- 1 tbsp (chopped) fresh coriander
- Salt to taste
- 1-inch ginger
- 2-3 Green chilies
- 1 medium-sized (chopped) onion
Method Aloo Paratha Recipe
Prepare the Dough:
- Mix White flour and salt, knead a semi-soft dough, and add oil until the dough is smooth.
- Cover with a damp cloth &rest the dough for 30 minutes.
Make the Potato Filling:
- Add (boiled & mashed ) potatoes, cumin, red chili powder, crushed coriander seeds, row mango powder, fresh mint, fresh coriander, and salt in one medium-sized bowl.
- Use a mortar & pestle to crush the ginger & chilies and mix well and add the chopped onions just before making the parathas.
Assemble the Parathas:
- Divide into equal dough balls. Cut the dough ball with dry flour & process it gently & bring the edges together.
- Process the filing with one thumb & use your other hand to seal the dough ball. Remove excess dough if any.
- Sprinkle some dry flour & gently flatten with your hand. Shape the paratha using a rolling pin in to left up word & right down word motion.
Cook the Parathas:
- Cook the paratha one a hot tava on medium flame flip and cook again on other side until light golden brown.
- Apply ghee on the cooked paratha & cook again for 30 second. .
Serve:
- Aloo paratha is a ready serve it and apply with butter.
